How to make a 40s halter top out of a scarf

I have recently been upcycling lots and lots of vintage scarves for the Saved by Sue Ryder project.  These two 1940s style tops were made following instructions in an original vintage 1940s Smart Accessories booklet by Vogue.

Don't you just love this gorgeous vintage brooch which Libby found amongst the stock - I stitched a small circle of lingerie foam (the type you find in bras) on the back of the V neckline of the halter to give the brooch support & stop it from tearing the fabric

Just the thing to show off a gorgeous suntanned back x
