Sew 70s - Clothespin Dolls

These little handmade clothespin or dolly peg dolls are dressed in the fashions I wore as a teenager in the 70s - jeans & smock tops, long maxi floral dresses & of course flowers in their hair! x

Revamp Vintage Dresses into a Smart Occasion Outfit

What a fab way to revamp a couple of old vintage dresses into a lovely dress & jacket combo - wouldn't this be perfect for a mother of the bride outfit?  I love the way this uses vintage dresses, which so often don't fit well, to make a lovely smart two piece.  This article was found in an early 60s Pins & Needles magazine.  Do let me know if you use this idea to rework an outfit of your own. x

The way we wore the 70s

I thought it would be nice to dress some peg dolls in fashions I remember from my teens back in the 70s - so here we have on the left a maxi dress in a pretty ditsy floral & a shawl made from daisies.  Then on the right the doll wears jeans & a smock top with a jaunty daisy loom waistcoat & bright shoulder bag.  Both dolls wear flowers in their hair, just like I used to!! x
