Can't move forward for standing still

Please tell me it's not just me.

Sometimes there is so much to do - finish designing the garden, make a start on decorating the entire house, sew some clothes, carry on learning to crochet, walk my 10,000 steps a day, shop for stock, list items to sell so I can actually afford to live - that I find myself overwhelmed with it all and instead of rushing around really DOING things, I am unable to decide what to do first, end up doing nothing, then feel really frustrated with myself for wasting so much time!

I know it must be many, many times worse for those of you with kids to factor into the equation too, and I know I have some days, nay even whole weeks, where I can effortlessly achieve some of or even all of the above.  Guess it's just not one of them weeks!!

  1. I totally hear what you are saying. It would be easy for me to say "prioritise your tasks" because I am an admin assistant and its a rule I have to work by, or "make a to do lists" but I think lists can have an opposite effect. Goals which are not achievable are not goals for me so I suggest a cup of tea! Good Luck!

  2. I know what you mean about lists sometimes having the opposite effect when they in themselves become overwhelming! Anyway, the sun is shining so am giving myself the day off from thinking about it - and painting the summerhouse interior instead :)
